New Year, Bold Look, Fresh Minds

Take a look at what we’re reading and our new brand 👀

As we step into 2025, we’re excited to reveal a new chapter for Invoke—a fresh logo and brand identity that reflects who we are today: strategic, creative, and driven by a vision for the future. This refresh captures the energy we bring to uncovering, creating and building novel solutions to interesting problems.

A huge thank you, goes to Invoke friend, Kane Tchir, whose creativity and forward-thinking approach helped bring this vision to life.

Follow us on Instagram, LinkedIn and explore our new site at builtbyinvoke.ca. Here’s to exciting possibilities in the year ahead! We can't wait to see, what comes next 😉.

Current Reads

This past month, we’re diving into ideas that inspire our work and sharpen our thinking. Here are a few books that have talking about lately.

Specification by Example by Gojko Adzic

A must-read for teams building collaboratively. There’s been a shift in software development over the past 10+ years—from timelines measured in months and years to delivering in weeks and months. Adzic provides actionable insights on aligning cross-functional teams, building living documentation and ensuring delivery at speed and quality.

The Notebook: A History of Thinking on Paper by Jessica Helfand

We loved this one! A great reminder that any type of lateral thinking requires you to get away from the screen. Helfand explores the art of thinking through the humble notebook. From scientists, artists and everyday thinkers, this book uncovers how notebooks have shaped creativity, problem-solving, and innovation across centuries.

Co-Intelligence: Living and Working with AI by Ethan Mollick

“Invite AI to everything”— this book’s mantra goes beyond the basics and delves into how to get what you need from AI agents, based on your role (ie: as a creative, a coach, etc.). We recommend pages 93-122 for how to work with AI as a creative — and if you want to see what we've learned, check out getincrowd.ai!

We’d love to hear from you, what’s on your bookshelf this year?
