Seattle Interactive, Ship Happens and Accessibility is User Experience

It's been a busy end of summer and transition to the Fall season. Here's where we've been, what we've been working on and UX musings on our mind:

🎤 Invoke at Seattle Interactive: Pitching Tomorrow's Products Today

Dominic Wong, our Managing Director and Olivia Bell, our Principal Product Strategist repped Invoke on the stage at Seattle Interactive Conference, sharing our team's approach on launching early to solve a problem and to show early traction. If you missed it, check out our slides for strategies on how to turn ideas into reality, before they’re even built.

🚀 Ship Happens: A Spotlight on Our Latest Projects

Operator Technologies - Notifying Technicians of life-saving environmental sensor readings

We designed and built the mobile app companion that integrates with Operator Technologies’ hardware to monitor various environmental sensors in real-time. Technicians can now receive alerts, monitor sensor readings, and system statuses, making it easier for them to manage their environments efficiently. Available soon on the Apple and Google App Stores.

Cannaply™ - Automating manual tasks in a highly regulated market

We built an automated label creation solution for the cannabis industry, automating what was once a time-consuming and tedious process into a streamlined workflow. Instead of manually interpreting Health Canada regulations and guidelines or outsourcing label creation, our solution allows users to generate compliant labels in just minutes, reducing errors while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Bidmoto - Building a scalable platform for online motorcycle auctions

Canadians selling motorcycles had two options: sell to a Dealer for less profit or navigate the risks and hassle of a private sale. Bidmoto changes that by providing a platform where sellers can connect with verified buyers confidently. For buyers, Bidmoto offers an alternative marketplace for purchasing used motorcycles, creating a safer and efficient process for both.

Led by Carmen Perry, Senior Designer and Michelle Illing, Strategist, we held a Lunch and Learn for our team, on the critical role of accessibility in product design. Accessibility not only opens new markets but would also protect our clients from potential legal liabilities and reduces costs in the long run. More importantly, designing for accessibility ensures that everyone, regardless of ability, can use your product. It’s about creating inclusive experiences while making smart business decisions.
